Journey to Parenthood: A Rollercoaster of Emotions
While Jenna and Val haven’t officially announced if they’ll return as pros for season 32 of Dancing With the Stars, they’ve been fully immersed in their new roles as parents. Jenna recently opened up about a deeply personal experience she faced before welcoming Rome into the world—a miscarriage. Sharing this story was not easy for Jenna, but she knew it was important.
“It’s crazy how you can experience so much joy followed by so much devastation and sorrow,” Jenna recalled during an episode of “The MomForce Podcast” in June. She continued, “I ended up miscarrying. We were doing a show in Dallas, Texas, and we were rehearsing for the show, and it was a huge event that was going to be happening all weekend … and Val and I were practicing in the afternoon.”
At first, Jenna hesitated to share her feelings publicly. But she eventually realized that opening up could help others who have gone through similar experiences. “It just became so apparent to me, I am not alone in this, and this is something that needs to be spoken about because of all the feelings that I had felt, all of that trauma, all of that darkness,” she explained.
The Arrival of Rome: A Testament to Love and Resilience
After welcoming Rome with Val on January 11, Jenna couldn’t be more grateful for her growing family. On January 23, she shared a touching post on Instagram about the incredible journey of motherhood. “I’ve always appreciated my body and what it’s been able to help me do and create within my craft … but nothing can prepare you for what a miraculous vessel it is and what it goes through during labor,” she wrote.
She went on to describe the 30-hour labor process and how grateful she was for the support system that helped her through it. “About 30 hours of it and we finally got to meet our sweet bubba. Forever grateful I had the best support system to get me through,” Jenna expressed. Parenthood has been a transformative experience for Jenna, and she continues to share her journey with her fans in a way that’s both authentic and inspiring.
