Country music icon Trace Adkins has found love once more, proving that love knows no bounds! The man behind the hit "Hot Mama" walked down the aisle with actress Victoria Pratt in October 2019. Their special day took place in Louisiana, with none other than Blake Shelton officiating the ceremony. It’s a match made in heaven, as Trace and Victoria initially crossed paths on the set of the 2014 film The Virginian.
Victoria Pratt: A Multifaceted Talent
Born and raised in Chesley, Ontario, Canada, Victoria Pratt is a woman of many talents. Before diving headfirst into the world of acting, she studied kinesiology, showcasing her passion for health and fitness. She even worked as a fitness model before deciding to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. Her career in entertainment began in the '90s, with roles in popular shows like Xena: Warrior Princess and Mutant X: Understudy. Over the years, she graced the screens in beloved series such as CSI, NCIS, and Castle, eventually landing the role that brought her to Trace Adkins.

In an August 2021 interview with People, Trace couldn’t contain his gratitude for Victoria. “I can’t even begin to explain what a difference she’s made in my life,” he revealed. “She rejuvenated me and inspired me to take whatever time I have left and make the most of it … and then just make the best music that I can make.” Victoria has been more than just a partner; she’s been a muse and a guiding light for Trace.
A Journey Through Trace’s Past
Before meeting Victoria, Trace had been married three times. He welcomed two daughters, Tarah and Sarah, with his first wife, Barbara Lewis. Their marriage ended in 1990. His second marriage to Julie Curtis was short-lived, concluding after just three years following a dramatic dispute where Julie shot him with a handgun. Trace then married Rhonda Forlaw in 1997, and together they welcomed daughters Mackenzie, Brianna, and Trinity. After 18 years together, they divorced in 2015.
Victoria’s Vibrant Life Before Trace
Victoria Pratt also had her share of life experiences before meeting Trace. She was married to director T.J. Scott from 2000 to 2016. The couple met when T.J. directed the film Legacy, in which Victoria starred alongside David Hasselhoff. In addition to her acting career, Victoria has authored a fiction book titled Double Down, published in 2015. She’s also trained in Shotokan karate, proving her as a woman of strength and discipline. In a 2011 interview during her Oxygen Covergirl shoot, Victoria shared her passion for staying active. “I ran track for a decade and a half, I did kickboxing and weight training, and now I’ve moved into things like salsa dancing and hiking and volleyball, and I’ve been able to keep it fresh and fun,” she said.
Victoria Inspires Trace’s Music
Over the years, Victoria has been a source of inspiration for some of Trace’s most heartfelt songs. In a September 2021 Instagram video, Trace revealed the story behind his song "It All Adds up to Us" from the album The Way I Wanna Go. “It’s just an idea I had because of Victoria,” he explained. “It doesn’t make any sense. This incredibly beautiful, talented, intelligent, charming woman would be with me. It just didn’t make a lot of sense. It just didn’t add up on paper.” It took Trace less than an hour to pen "It All Adds up to Us," and it’s clear that the connection he shares with Victoria is something truly extraordinary.
